Dachser has acquired the leading provider of frozen and temperature-controlled food logistics services in the Nordic region, Frigoscandia AB, based in Helsingborg, Sweden. With this acquisition, subject to approval by European competition authorities, Dachser strengthens its Food Logistics network in Europe and takes its collaboration with Frigoscandia to a new level.

In 2007, Dachser created its DACHSER Chem Logistics solution, which it began to implement in the Iberian Peninsula in 2015. Since 2016, Dachser has collaborated with the Swiss multinational Sika to address new challenges in the logistics of the chemical industry in Spain.

The San Sebastián branch of the multinational logistics and freight transport company Dachser has renewed its SQAS accreditation after verifying that it meets demanding requirements in terms of quality, safety, occupational risk prevention, environment and Corporate Social Responsibility. On this occasion, the result obtained in the questionnaire was 84%, maintaining the percentage achieved in 2019.

The meeting, a mandatory event in the industrial sector, is aimed at all professionals who want to improve their production chain and are looking for the most innovative solutions for their business. This year's edition will host more than 600 exhibiting companies and 12,000 professionals.

With its digital twin @ILO, Dachser and Fraunhofer IML create full transparency for packages, products and workflows at transit terminals while shortening processing times. Successive implementations in Dachser offices in Europe will begin in 2024.

DACHSER Spain ASL recently obtained GDP (Good Practice Distribution) certification for its quality management system in its offices in Madrid and Barcelona, which verifies that life sciences and healthcare shipments are managed at Dachser in accordance with the EU regulations.

As part of the TechFocus sessions, on November 15, Joaquim López, Head of Customer Service, Marketing, Communications & PR at DACHSER Iberia, will give a presentation in which he will explain, among other topics, the positioning of the DACHSER Chem Logistics solution in relationship with sustainability.

Operations at the new center – essentially dedicated to the national and international transport of goods – have already started. In 2022, the Dachser branch in the Faro area handled more than 8,000 tonnes of goods.

Years of collaboration lead to the birth of a joint venture dedicated to groupage and logistics.
