Oviedo will host the final of the Best Verdinas of Spain Contest Grand Prix City of Oviedo

  • Winners of the previous edition of the Las Mejores Verdinas contest.

A classifying jury has visited the restaurants participating in the 2nd edition of the Best Verdinas in Spain Contest, Grand Prix Ciudad de Oviedo, to choose the 20 finalists. Three awards will be awarded for first, second and third place, and for the best pairing.

Oviedo will be the official headquarters of the II Las Mejores Verdinas de España Competition, Grand Prix Ciudad de Oviedo, on April 15 at the Palace of Exhibitions and Congresses (PEC) of Oviedo (Calle Arturo A Buylla, 5).

With the aim of recognizing and highlighting the excellent work of hospitality professionals, in multiple formats, with the Verdinas de Asturias Guarantee Brand, the 2nd edition of the Best Verdinas in Spain Grand Prize Contest has been launched. City of Oviedo.

All the chefs and hospitality establishments in Spain that have included a verdinas dish in the 10th edition of the Fabada and Verdinas Route participate in the contest, demonstrating how their exquisiteness and perfection are out of the ordinary and are the secret. of the success of the emerald legumes in Spanish gastronomy.

The gastronomic contest, organized by the businessman, critic and jury of major gastronomic events Nacho Sandoval, is sponsored by the Oviedo City Council, with the collaboration of Codilex Camín Astur, OTEA Hostelería de Asturias, Entrecanales Domecq, FACYRE and Moscovitas de Rialto.

The technical jury and tasting jury will decide between the twenty restaurants that will compete in the stoves installed in the Palace of Exhibitions and Congresses (PEC) of Oviedo, so that their verdinas are chosen as the best in the world, in the second edition of the Las Contest. Best Verdinas in Spain, Grand Prix City of Oviedo.

To issue their final opinion, they will take into account both the technical execution, its presentation (plating) and the flavor, quality of the greens and the accompaniments. Once the contest is over, the awards ceremony will be held and the results of the II Best Verdinas of Spain Contest, Grand Prix Ciudad de Oviedo, will be made public, granting three awards to first, second and third place and best pairing.
