About Grupo Rioja
The group is made up of companies of all types, from those belonging to large national groups to small family wineries, with centuries-old firms and other newly established ones, which share their capacity and export orientation.
It is the oldest association of the Denomination, as this year marks 55 years of history, during which it has contributed decisively to the evolution and prestige of Rioja. It is the main bodeguera association, with more than 60 companies spread over the three autonomous communities that comprise it, which buy grapes from more than 11,000 winegrowers -directly or indirectly through cooperatives- and employ more than 2,700 people in it production zone, jointly representing more than 75% of the commercialization of Rioja.
