Dachser is taking a decisive step toward emission-free transport by becoming one of the first companies in Spain to test the new Mercedes-Benz Trucks long-haul electric truck. For two months, the innovative eActros 600 will travel to several Dachser Iberia branches on a tour that combines real-life operations, technical training, and customer meetings to demonstrate that sustainable logistics is now a reality.
The initiative is part of Dachser's ambitious commitment to cleaner and more efficient mobility and represents a strategic collaboration with Mercedes-Benz to validate the vehicle's performance, range, and efficiency on real-life routes.
“This project is not just a technical test; it's a statement of intent. We want to show that the energy transition in transport is not a promise for the future, but a present action. Our customers will be able to see, touch, and experience the change,” says Alberto Gil, Team Leader Energy Management & Sustainability at Dachser Iberia.
An electric tour of Spain
Over the next few weeks, the eActros 600 will tour Dachser logistics centers in key cities such as Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Zaragoza, and other locations across the country. At each stop, technical presentations, practical sessions, and meetings with customers and strategic partners will be held, allowing them to learn about this new technology firsthand and answer any questions they may have about its future implementation.
In addition, Mercedes-Benz Trucks has designed a specialized training program for Dachser drivers, with the goal of maximizing vehicle performance and ensuring efficient operations from the first kilometer.
Innovation and sustainability: Dachser's DNA
This project joins the many initiatives that Dachser Iberia is carrying out on the path toward more sustainable logistics, such as the progressive electrification of its urban fleets, the installation of electric charging stations at its facilities, and the use of 100% renewable energy at its centers.
With this pioneering test, Dachser not only reinforces its environmental commitment, but also positions itself as a benchmark in the integration of innovative solutions to meet the challenges of tomorrow's transportation.
